Playing for Time

You find yourself is some sort of digital space. Approach the stranger, until you can tap him on the shoulder. He ask, who are you, and you wake up under rubble.
Follow the prompts, remove the metal sheet and the television and crawl your way out of the pit. As you see Dexter and Takemura, you fade out.
- Neutralize the motorcyclists.
- Survive the attack.
Just a little later, you find yourself in the passenger's seat with Takemura driving. He needs your help. Use the airhypo to push your health. You have to shoot at the threats, otherwise you both die. You see that you hit, when the motorcycle bursts into flames.
After the frantic chase, select the prompts, you can't do anything wrong now.
As you wake up in Viktors's clinic, you have a serious talk with Vik. He tells you straight, what's going on: You have the personality of Johnny Silverhand on the shard. The scenes from the past are his memories. The biochip is destroying V over the next weeks or months. Silverhand is overriding V's personality until there is nothing left of V.
After Dex shot V, the shard repaired the brain damage and writes new neural pathlines. The shard revived V, but is working to replace V with Silverhand. The chip can't be removed, it can't be shut off without V dying.
Misty is bringing you home. She has some pills for you. Omega blockers to keep Silverhand in check, and Pseudoendotrizines to accellerate the process. Find some sleep
- Talk to the stranger.
- Leave the apartment.
- Crawl towards the pills.
After you wake up, you have a confrontation with Johnny Silverhand. As soon as you want to walk around you get jumped by the super aggressive stranger. He threatens to take control and is really mean.
As you try to take some pills, he slaps it away and suggest that V should commit suicide. After a while you manage to take a pill and finally get better.
- Leave the apartment.
- Stock up on ammo. (Optional)
- Open your inventory and put on some clothes. (Optional)
- Find something to eat. (Optional)
- Check your email. (Optional)
- Talk with Takemura.
When you leave the apartment or have checked you emails, Takemura is calling you. He awaits you at Tom's Diner.
- Meet with Takemura.
- Read the message from the megabuilding H10 administration. (Optional)
- Talk to Takemura.
When you read the message from megabuilding H10, the side job Human Nature unlocks.
You can go to the garage, get in your car, buy a new one and be on your way. Or you can just walk to Tom's Diner. Takemura sits in the Diner with a cup of tea. You both talk. He has two leads, Evelyn Parker and Hellmann. As soon as Takemura leaves the place, Johnny appears and is supportive to persuade Rogue to help out.
The main jobs Ghost Town and Automatic Love are now unlocked.
