History of Night City
The history of Night City begins with the dream of Richard Night who had a vision for a city of the future without old ideas and stifling regulations. With the backing of the world's largest corporations, entrepreneurs and investors flocked to California's Coronado Bay. Unprecedented growth and prosperity soon followed. After the murder of Richard Night, the city was renamed "Night City" in his honor. Night City consists of the six districts City Center, Heywood, Pacifica, Santo Domingo, Watson and Westbrook and is surrounded by the outskirts called Badlands.
Transportation
Night City offers a variety of ways to travel in and around the metropolis besides walking.
Car
There is good news for car owners that bring their own car into the city. You can park anywhere you like, for as long as you like. Paid parking was scrapped completely in the 2060s, partly in response to extreme violence directed at contractors cooperating with MeterMe!, a distributed parking enforcement startup.
NCART
NCART, or Night City Area Rapid Transit, is a nifty means of getting around town quickly. Many people use it every day as it is the cheapest, and often the most convenient, way to get where they need to go when they need to go. The system has many access points that form a network that spans the entire city and gets you from one to another with as little hassle and headache as the latest hits on BlastDance.
CABS
We highly recommend the Delamain transportation service - these rugged AI-powered cars will get you anywhere for a surprisingly affordable price.
